Binta O. Manneh is an environmental activist. She graduated from the University of The Gambia (UTG) in December 2019, BSc in Environmental Sciences. During her study at the University of The Gambia, she did her research on agricultural wastes to energy, with the topic ‘Potential of Agricultural wastes in clean energy industry of the Gambia'. In May 2016, Binta was among the students that were sent to the National Environment Agency (NEA) for two (2) months internship; where she was involved in environment monitoring, including environmental issues faced by the country. She was also involved with the United Nation World Food Program (WFP) on a project called mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) in 2017, where she was involved in data collection and analysis. Binta is currently working with ECOSOL ltd in partnership with RNE solution, on a feasibility study on sustainable wastes to energy power plant in the Gambia, from September 2019 up to date.
